Project Management in Gas/LNG Basic Course

The Project Management in Gas/LNG Basic Course 2025 is held at the Harper Malioboro Hotel in Yogyakarta from 7 to 8 July 2025. This two-day program focuses on the full lifecycle of natural gas and LNG infrastructure project management, from planning to execution, designed to help professionals master both critical hard skills—such as budgeting and risk management—and essential soft skills like leadership and negotiation.

The course is guided by three experienced facilitators: Insyir Rahman, an expert with 26 years of experience specializing in project scheduling, cost control, and LNG plant shutdowns; Nugroho, who brings over 30 years of experience in LNG plant operations, expansions, and FSRU commercial direction ; and Tanudji Darmasakti, a seasoned professional with 29 years in the industry, covering engineering, projects, and commercial planning for major refinery and gas initiatives.

Course Curriculum (Day 1 & Day 2) The program begins by establishing a strong foundation with an introduction to natural gas and LNG project management, followed by deep dives into project planning and scheduling using tools like Gantt charts and PERT diagrams. Participants will explore risk management frameworks, financial optimization through budgeting and cost control, and gain specific technical knowledge regarding LNG plants, jetties, and regasification units, alongside quality management processes. As the course progresses, the focus shifts to execution and compliance. Topics include managing procurement processes and contractual agreements, as well as gaining proficiency in project management software such as MS Project and Primavera. The curriculum also covers navigating regulatory frameworks, implementing Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) best practices, and tracking progress through performance monitoring and KPIs. The training concludes with integrated approaches that combine technical hard skills with interpersonal soft skills for holistic project management.
