PLN Energi Primer Indonesia

PT PLN Energi Primer Indonesia (PLN EPI) is the transformed entity of PT PLN Batubara—virtually launched under PLN’s Holding–Subholding structure on 21 September 2022 and fully operational since 1 January 2023. Building on its legacy of supplying coal to more than 20% of PLN’s coal demand and mine development, PLN EPI now manages an integrated primary-energy portfolio for power generation.

Its expanded lines of business include: securing coal (including existing mine development) for all PLN Group coal plants; natural gas supply for power plants; fuels (BBM) for generation; and biomass for PLTU co-firing. The company consolidates procurement and logistics into a resilient supply-chain ecosystem to ensure reliability, efficiency, and on-time delivery.
