PT PGN LNG Indonesia (PLI) kicked off its 2026 operations with a ship-to-ship transfer (STS) at the Lampung Floating Storage Regasification Unit (FSRU) facility. This activity marked the beginning of a series of LNG operations at the Lampung FSRU throughout the year.

During the STS, approximately 140,500 cubic meters of LNG cargo was shipped from the Donggi Senoro LNG Terminal in Central Sulawesi using an LNG carrier vessel. The cargo transfer to the Lampung FSRU proceeded safely and smoothly, in accordance with applicable operational and safety standards.

"Entering 2026, the Lampung FSRU is ready to receive 30 LNG cargoes on schedule. All PGN LNG officers, along with partners, are professionally maintaining the reliability of LNG operations, particularly in ensuring adequate gas supply for power plants and the industrial sector in Western Java and Sumatra," said Nofrizal in an official statement on Monday (January 19, 2026).

He emphasized that all operational activities at the Lampung FSRU prioritize occupational safety and health to ensure timely and sustainable operations.

Through the management of the Lampung FSRU, PLI contributes to maintaining national energy security, supporting the gas needs of the industrial and power plant sectors, and ensuring the sustainability of domestic natural gas supplies.

The Lampung FSRU is a floating LNG storage facility owned by PLI, a subsidiary of PT Perusahaan Gas Negara Tbk (PGAS). The facility has an LNG storage capacity of 170,000 cubic meters with a regasification capacity of 240 million standard cubic feet per day (MMSCFD), making it strategically important in maintaining the reliability of the national gas supply.
