GAS/LNG Industry Two Days Course Basic 2025

The Project Management in Gas/LNG Basic Course is scheduled to take place at the Harper Malioboro Hotel in Yogyakarta on 4–5 August 2025. This workshop is designed to guide participants through the lifecycle of Natural Gas and LNG infrastructure projects, from planning to execution. The curriculum integrates PMBOK principles with practical applications, utilizing software such as MS Project, WBS Schedule Pro, and Microsoft Excel to develop critical hard skills like scheduling, budgeting, and risk analysis .

The program is led by three distinguished facilitators: Insyir Rahman, a project management specialist with 26 years of experience and author of the "Practical Project Management Series"; Nugroho, an expert with over 30 years in LNG plant operations who served as the commercial director for Indonesia's first FSRU ; and Tanudji Darmasakti, a former Senior Vice President of Gas & LNG at Pertamina with 29 years of experience spanning engineering, commercial, and project planning.

Day 1 focuses on technical foundations and core planning skills. It opens with an Introduction to Natural Gas/LNG Project Management, covering industry characteristics and challenges. This is followed by a deep dive into Technical Knowledge, examining infrastructure components such as liquefaction units, storage tanks, loading arms, and offshore/onshore pipelines. The afternoon sessions cover Project Planning and Scheduling using Gantt charts, Budgeting and Cost Control strategies, and Risk Management frameworks to identify and mitigate potential project threats.

Day 2 emphasizes execution standards and management processes. The agenda begins with Quality Management to ensure deliverables meet required standards, followed by Procurement and Contract Management to oversee external acquisitions. A critical session on Health, Safety, Security, and Environmental (HSSE) Management addresses compliance and best practices. The course concludes with essential soft skills in Human Resource Management for effective team building and Communication Management strategies to ensure clear information flow among stakeholders.
