Episode 15 : Equitable Infrastructure: Gas for Cities and Villages
Is energy access in Indonesia truly equitable? In GasTalk Episode 15, together with Daniel S. Purba, Advisor to the Indonesian Gas Society, we discuss the importance of equitable gas infrastructure so that energy access is not limited to residents of major cities but also reaches rural and remote areas. This episode discusses: The state of gas distribution in Indonesia, geographical challenges and the costs of infrastructure development, the impact of unequal access to energy on communities, and the role of gas networks, small-scale LNG, and the government and private sector in ensuring equitable energy access. Because the energy transition should not benefit only certain regions. Energy must be equally accessible to all Indonesians.
