DETalk: "Managing Gas Supply to Strengthen Energy Transition"

21 July 2025 – Dunia Energi (Jakarta)

In the forum, the Indonesian Gas Society (IGS), represented by Adviser Salis Aprilian, highlighted the need for more prudent gas allocation and pricing policies to ensure long-term supply security, including better alignment of export allocations with domestic demand. IGS also emphasized the importance of accelerating gas supply projects through improved fiscal terms and infrastructure development so that gas can continue to play an effective role in supporting system reliability and the transition toward a cleaner energy mix.

Uncertainty in gas supply and limited infrastructure remain key challenges in strengthening the energy transition, particularly in meeting the growing demand from the power sector. These issues were discussed during the DETalk forum themed “Managing Gas Supply to Strengthen the Energy Transition”, which brought together key energy stakeholders.
